we have been really busy this term , enjoying the lovely weather down at Forest school.
We have used the kelly kettle to make custard and enjoyed this for our snack with bananas,
We have been whittling sticks with peelers,
We have enjoyed digging in the mud and splashing in the puddles,
We have been mark making with the mud, making hand prints on cardboard,
One child made a waterfall, and a nest with a baby bird inside,
We spend our lunch down in the forest and ate our packed lunch in the shade ,
We laid down on the floor under the trees looking up at the sky and canopy, one boy said it was the best thing ever !!
We have been building boats and bonfires and of course playing the best ever game of 123 where are you,
So we have done so much this term, not to mention noticing the change around us, and how the Forest is so green and dark inside.
Roll on the Autumn !!

Hey Spring has sprung !!!
The forest school site is getting greener, and is looking lovely. It is so nice to get out and not be freezing cold!
The children have been exploring under logs and finding slugs and eggs, and woodlice. Someone even found an egg left over from the Easter Egg hunt !!
We have been climbing on the climbing tree and making houses for our woodland toys, Mr Badger had a lovely new home made for him.

Hi, We are back in the original forest school site at the moment, and we are seeing the first signs of spring.
Daffodils are blooming, catkins are shaking and the leaves are bursting out everywhere.
It is still really cold , so please, please, remember warm clothes and socks for your children to wear. This term we have been busy exploring the site, looking for slugs and woodlice and making a bug hotel for them to try !! we have been busy building shelters for toys and measuring the daffodils . Each time we go out we have our favourite hot chocolate for snack which helps warm us up, we are ending the term with an Easter egg hunt ! Pirate Pete better watch out !
Roll on the warmer weather.

Happy New Year everyone !
We cancelled Forest school this week because of the extreme temperatures, and instead we brought a little forest school inside.
We had a look in our FS ruck sack to see what we pack !
The children were fab, they new what everything was for. One little friend recognised that we bought quite a lot of items for our first aid kit from "Boots the Chemist " !!! How we chuckled !!
The daffodils are beginning to show, and are already about 20cm high- we ll keep measuring and monitoring.
Dont forget warm clothes and extra socks !!!
